Schafer Park Elementary School

The new Schafer Park Elementary School was designed around a large interior courtyard with raised concrete planters, a school stage and a life-size checkerboard area. For the science program, a large student garden was designed using lumber from trees removed on site, raised planters were installed with space for outdoor classes, worm bins, composting and a butterfly garden. The playground included all new play equipment and sports equipment leading to a new synthetic turf play field.
